Galvanization
Over time any metal is subject to deterioration. Bad weather or simple prolonged exposure outdoors generate oxide on surfaces, damaging metals to the point of making them unsightly. For this reason, all the external units of the Zephir air conditioners are treated with a double "Galvanization" process which consists in the application of one or more layers of zinc on the steel in order to guarantee complete protection of the surface
Galvanizing is therefore an additional security that prolongs the life of our air conditioners and always makes them beautiful
The SENDZIMIR method (Continuous Hot Galvanization)
It is a hot-dip galvanizing process of the sheets that make up our outdoor units, which are thus coated with a protective layer of zinc. The metal is immersed in a ceramic tank which contains molten zinc at a temperature of about 700°C to which lead and aluminum are usually added, the first as a fluidifying element and the second to favor the adhesion of the zinc to the steel. Before passing into the zinc, the sheet metal is subjected to a degreasing treatment in order to eliminate surface impurities. Subsequently, to eliminate the iron oxides, it is pickled in hydrochloric acid. Once the coating phase has been completed, the metal is ready for the subsequent profiling process
