Compared to 100 years ago, the global temperature has increased by almost 0.5°C (from 1981 to 1990 +0.48°C). To remedy the situation, the Montreal Protocol was signed in 1987 and the Kyoto Protocol in 1997. In 2009, the European Union introduced the F-Gas regulation and it was approved in December 2013. Each GWP value is calculated for a specific time interval.

In terms of comparison, the GWP of the R32 refrigerant is equivalent to a value of 675, while the GWP of the R410A refrigerant corresponds to a value of 2088.
