Ecodan system
The Ecodan - split system consists of a traditional direct expansion outdoor unit (Power Inverter or Zubadan type) and a hydronic module to be installed indoors, capable of producing cold and hot water for heating or sanitary use. The module is equipped with a control unit FTC4
Hydrotank split
The Hydrotank is the indoor hydronic module for floor installation equipped with a 170, 200 or 300 liter storage tank for domestic hot water.
A wide range of indoor units
The internal hydronic modules of the Ecodan® - Split line offer a wide range of choices:
"Hydrotank" the simplicity and practicality of the "all-in-one", incorporating a 170, 200, 300 liter boiler for the production of domestic hot water.
The "Split" systems can be connected to an external unit of the "Zubadan" series to favor performance at low temperatures or of the "Ecodan®" series characterized by the largest extension of the range.
Hydrotank and reversible Hydrotank
The hydrotank is the hydronic module of the Ecodan® line equipped with a 170, 200 or 300 liter storage tank for domestic hot water.
The Hydrotank is also available in both the "hot only" version and the reversible version with which it is also possible to produce chilled water for summer air conditioning.
Both versions are particularly compact and contain all the main components of the primary hydraulic system.
Attention has been paid to the smallest details:
- Simple, modern and elegant design;
- Small dimensions that allow installation even in small niches, closets, etc.
- Easy maintenance, all the main components can be reached simply by removing the front panel.
- Ease of handling thanks to the lower handle.
- Ease of transport even in small vans thanks to the compact dimensions and the possibility of laying it down even in a horizontal position.
FTC6 control system
The Ecodan® - Split systems are equipped with the new FTC6 control unit.
The backlit control, which can be removed from the unit body and installed remotely, is equipped with a large display with graphic icons; from it all the operating parameters are adjusted in a simple and intuitive way, the functions are set (weekly timer, "holiday" mode, domestic hot water filling, etc.), diagnostics and consumption monitoring are accessed.
Thanks to the wireless control (optional) it is possible to measure the room temperature remotely and transmit it to the body of the unit, as well as modify the main operating parameters.
It is not necessary to fix it so as to make it portable in different rooms.
Integrated condensate collection tray for reversible models
Inside the reversible Hydrotank units there is space for the condensate collection tray. The unit is equipped with a drain piping to the rear.
Exclusive “Scale trap” filter
Thanks to the combination of the plate exchanger and the exclusive «Scale trap» filter, the performance of the DHW cycle remains unchanged over time. In traditional systems there is the risk that the calcium, as it precipitates, deposits inside the exchanger, reducing its exchange surface. The Hydrotank is equipped with the exclusive «Scale trap» filter which homogeneously captures the precipitated calcium before it has the possibility to settle in the exchanger. In this way the heat exchange remains unchanged, guaranteeing high performance for the production of domestic hot water
SG Ready: integration with photovoltaic systems
The new Ecodan® hydronic modules support the SG ready function. Acronym of Smart Grid Ready, the function allows you to maximize the self-consumption of electricity from a photovoltaic system and is implemented with 2 additional inputs.
Ecodan® R32 outdoor units
The new Ecodan® R32 SUZ-SWM outdoor units with capacities of 4.00, 6.00, 8.00 kW combined with the new D-Generation indoor units are the efficient and high-performance solution for heating, cooling and for the production of domestic hot water.

High performance in heating
The new Ecodan® R32 units are able to adapt to all system solutions and maintain high performance with outdoor temperatures down to -20°C. Seasonal energy efficiency A+++ and SCOP up to 4.62 at low temperatures.
R32: a low environmental impact refrigerant
The R32 refrigerant gas complies with the European directives on the reduction of the greenhouse effect, presenting a lower GWP than R410A and not damaging the ozone layer.
- Exclusive AA Chassis
- The search for a product that prides itself on its silent operation led to a complete redesign of the unit's chassis.
- The AA units are lower than previous generation bifan units of equal power and have a discreet and sophisticated design.
To reduce fan noise, the new AA chassis outdoor units use a larger diameter fan further away from the coil
Extended operating range
Operating range in heating extended up to -20°C. The new outdoor units are also suitable for harsher climates. The new layout of the refrigerant circuit limits the risk of resonances and vibrations. The new compressor is installed on rubber supports and is efficiently acoustically isolated by a dedicated structure. The new design of the fan guarantees less acoustic impact. All these technological improvements guarantee a reduction of -10dB (A) in operating noise.
Small size
The new AA Chassis outdoor units guarantee a smaller footprint thanks to the reduced height dimensions compared to the previous model.
High performance
The new compressor of the AA outdoor units, more compact and powerful, allows to reach high SCOP values without sacrificing power. The whole series brilliantly exceeds the seasonal energy efficiency class A++ as defined by the European directive ErP Lot 1
New base design
The base of the AA outdoor units has been redesigned to optimize and facilitate condensate drainage. The improvement of the defrost logics and the layout of the coil, combined with the new condensate drainage base, make it possible to avoid the formation of ice which could limit the comfort of use.
Inverter technology
Heat pumps normally reduce their heating capacity when the outside air temperature drops, just as the building's heat demand increases. The inverter technology manages to compensate for the lower thermal yield at low temperatures, by increasing the rotation speed of the compressor . Conversely, when the external air temperature increases, the inverter modulates the frequency, adapting the power supplied to the required heat requirement and drastically reducing electricity consumption .
