The ErP legislation and the new energy labels The future of heating systems Starting from 26 September 2015, in order to be placed on the market, heating and hot water production systems will have to comply with the ErP (Energy Related Products) regulations issued by the European Union. The ErP standards favor the eco-compatible design of products that consume energy from fossil fuels and have the aim of reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as providing consumers with transparent and homogeneous information on the energy efficiency of the appliances, favoring their comparison. Regulations N 811/2013 and 812/2013 provide for a specific energy labeling of appliances for heating and domestic hot water production. Regulations N 813/2013 and 814/2013 prescribe, among other things, the minimum energy efficiency and pollutant emissions requirements that manufacturers of equipment for heating and domestic hot water production must comply with. These regulations therefore raise energy efficiency standards, improving system performance and excluding less performing technologies from the market. The energy label will be supplied by the manufacturer with the appliance and will represent a concrete help for the consumer, allowing him to learn more about the characteristics of the system, acquire greater awareness of the energy savings allowed and make the best choice of what to buy. The energy label will provide information on the energy class of the product, on a scale between A++ and G, and on other additional notations, such as power and noise emissions. Some examples: - The electrical box of the electronic card can be easily extracted from the chassis leaving free access to the internal parts. - Easy access to the burner unit by removing 4 screws and the quick coupling (clip) of the fan. - The exchanger with extra-large passages is designed to challenge the hardest waters and is easy to clean thanks to the non-collectorised single-pipe circuit. - The domestic hot water inlet filter can be extracted very easily directly from the inside without having to remove the boiler hydraulic connections. - Any disassembly and replacement of the plate heat exchanger takes place simply by removing the two Allen bolts accessible from the front SUN EASY FUNCTION BLUEHELIX ALPHA has been designed to be easily inserted into systems made with the latest technologies. The SUN EASY system makes use of electronics that simplify the combination with solar panels with both natural and forced circulation. By means of a sensor located on the DHW circuit, it continuously controls the temperature of the water preheated by the solar panels, foreseeing the ignition of the burner only if the latter drops below the level necessary to guarantee optimal comfort for the user. STOP AND GO FUNCTION With the use of sanitary mixing taps, short or very short dispensing for quick rinses involves the start of the boiler ignition procedure which usually ends immediately. The continuation of these "false starts" can, in the long run, compromise the average life of the product. For this reason BLUEHELIX ALPHA provides an electronic parameter through which it is possible to delay burner ignition (Stop and Go) by activating it only in the face of actual withdrawals of domestic hot water. OUTDOOR INSTALLATION - ANTIFREEZE FUNCTION To make the most of the available space, the new BLUEHELIX ALPHA 24 - 28 C boiler can be installed recessed into the wall thanks to the special kit; for more critical installations, in completely uncovered places not protected from atmospheric agents, the "painted cabinet" kit is also available. In the event that the temperature in the boiler drops to 5°C, the burner automatically lights up and the circulator is activated in order to protect the appliance from damage caused by frost. This function is active with the boiler powered by the gas circuit and under electrical voltage. SANITARY ECO-COMFORT FUNCTION In ECO operation, the production of domestic hot water takes place according to traditional standards, allowing for energy savings during periods of non-use. In COMFORT mode, thanks to the particular heat exchanger temperature maintenance system, the delivery of domestic hot water becomes even faster and more comfortable.
