Ecodesign Directive (ErP) 2015 How to be ready for new EU legislation What will happen from 26 September 2015? From this date it will no longer be possible to produce traditional forced draft boilers. Instead, it will be possible to continue producing condensing boilers and traditional open chamber boilers equipped with high-efficiency pumps and compliant with the new ErP requirements such as emission, noise and efficiency levels. In particular, the installation of traditional open chamber boilers will only be possible to replace old boilers installed in multi-family buildings which discharge the fumes into branched collective flues (CCR). Products placed on the market before 09/26/2015 that do not comply with the requirements of the new directive, such as traditional forced draft boilers and boilers not equipped with a high efficiency pump, can still be purchased, sold and installed.   ErP and ELD: what do they mean and how are they different?   ErP : The EU has issued new obligations for Energy Using Products (ErP).
