Small Flared Magnetic Dirt Separator Filter

The SMALL FLARED dirt separator is equipped with an internal network with a double degree of filtration, 300 and 800 m, and is able to retain the circulating ferrous and non-ferrous particles. The impurities, through a fixed path, are collected inside the filtering cartridge, while the ferrous ones are attracted by the magnet. The particular structure of the dirt separator allows the cleaning of the filter in co-current and counter-current; the simultaneous extraction of the magnet allows you to effectively remove all the sediments through the drain. Cleaning can also be carried out with the system on and running

Installation

The SMALL FLARED dirt separator  must be installed on the return line to the boiler of the heating system upstream of the circulation pump , with the "angled" connections at 90°, i.e. with the inlet and body of the dirt separator horizontal, the outlet vertical towards the 'up and down exhaust

Exercise phase

The water enters the dirt separator through the ball valve, the ferrous sediments contained in the water are attracted and deposited on the surface of the magnet cover. The non-ferrous sediments are retained by the stainless steel mesh and pushed towards the settling compartment. The separation ring does not allow sediments to go out: a calm zone is created. The water, crossing the inside of the stainless steel mesh, comes into contact along the entire length of the magnet cover

The procedure for correctly washing the dirt separator is simple and consists in closing the inlet valve, completely removing the magnet, fully opening the drain plug and reopening the inlet valve until clean water comes out. Cleaning the stainless steel mesh and the entire dirt separator is optimal because washing takes place in counter-current with the water flowing from the boiler, and co-current through the inlet.

Extraordinary cleaning

It is possible to carry out a totally counter-current cleaning: momentarily switch off the boiler, close the inlet valve, remove the magnet, open the system water replenishment valve and open the dirt separator discharge. Keep the drain open until the water comes out clean
