Limescale deposits on pipes, boilers and water heaters, clogging them, reducing their efficiency, increasing energy costs and maintenance costs. Furthermore, limescale deposits on tubs and showers, sinks, taps, creating unsightly stains. But that's not all: hard water does not allow you to wash skin and clothes well due to the deposit of encrusting salts which, moreover, require the use of a greater quantity of detergents and soaps. Softening is the technology that currently offers the greatest guarantees of success in the prevention of limescale deposits. Principle of operation The BravoCAB softeners contain ion exchange resins which selectively retain the calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for the formation of scaling) releasing sodium ions into the water. A special valve (hardness regulator) allows you to modulate the hardness value at the outlet of the softener itself. Once the exchange capacity is exhausted, the exchange resins are regenerated using sodium chloride (salt). Main features BravoCAB is a cabinet softener designed to reduce water hardness by safeguarding domestic plumbing and heating systems, steam generators and cooling systems, humidification systems, washing machines and laundries, process water systems. Thanks to the technical design and the registered patents, the BravoCAB water softeners combine intelligent operation with great simplicity, allowing water and salt consumption to be kept to a minimum. The BravoCAB softeners are distinguished from the other softeners available on the market for some salient characteristics. Simplicity The softener valve can be disassembled with bare hands and in a few moves; it is made of certified food-grade plastic and consists of 30% fewer pieces than other commercially available valves. The valve is mounted directly on the rotor without the aid of mechanical connections. No part of the valve, especially those in contact with the softened water, is made of metallic materials, excluding corrosion problems with the consequent release of metals (copper, zinc, lead) into the water. The extremely innovative electronics are reliable and simple to program: in a few seconds and by pressing just two buttons, the system is put into operation. There is no need to run tests or start special procedures. Variable regenerative level BravoCAB is able to use resins with different regenerative levels which are established in a completely automatic and intelligent way by the electronics on the basis of real consumption. In this way the softener automatically adjusts itself to the specific needs of the user, consuming only the strictly necessary salt and water. This guarantees salt savings of up to 47% and water savings of up to 50% compared to a softener with a fixed regeneration level. Efficiency The regeneration of the resins is carried out in proportion to the effective consumption and takes place in counter-current for an effective and complete regeneration of the resins. Dry salt vat The salt vat works dry and is filled only at the time of regeneration. This ensures that salt bridges do not form and reduces the risk of uncontrolled water leakage. Furthermore, the float that controls the filling is not under pressure during the operation of the softener, further reducing the risk of uncontrolled water leakage. Safety BravoCAB softeners are supplied complete with by-pass. Furthermore, BravoCAB carries out a regeneration at most every 4 days. The maintenance of statistical and programming data even in the event of a power outage is ensured by a permanent non-volatile memory. BravoCAB complies with current Italian regulations on the treatment of water intended for human consumption. BravoCAB is equipped with a backlit LCD display that is easier to read and ideal for applications in semi-underground or poorly lit locations. Programming and setting up is quick and easy: just set the time and water hardness. The display shows: time, hardness, regeneration time, residual capacity percentage, hourly flow rate, total daily consumption and average daily consumption. The electronics is also equipped with a diagnostic function which allows you to monitor the days of operation, the number of regenerations, the control of the volumetric turbine and the microswitch.
