SMISOL® Gas Resistant and non-permeable
It is the copper pipe produced according to the EN 1057 standard covered during production with a special sheath with a full (non-star) section in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in compliance with the UNI 10823 standard. The properties of SMISOL®Gas in terms of melting point, resistance to fire and pressure, impermeability to gas and absolute sealing of brazing and joints, become indispensable in the case of domestic distribution of combustible gas, where safety guarantees are essential and obligatorily provided for by the technical standards and by the provisions of the law. Furthermore, to protect the final consumer, in compliance with EU Regulation 305/2011 for construction products (CPR) , the copper pipes manufactured by SCT according to EN1057 are marked with the CE mark . A further guarantee of compliance with current legislation is given by obtaining the UNI-IGQ quality mark
Internal Protection
During production, it is subjected to a patented treatment of passivation and stabilization of the internal wall . The SMISOL®Gas copper pipe has a carbon residue C < 0.06 mg/dm2 , much lower than that required by the EN 1057 standard, which establishes a carbon content C ≤ 0.20 mg/dm2
External Protection
Coating in stabilized polyvinyl resin, tested and guaranteed. The coating protects against external attacks from building materials (e.g. quick-setting concrete) and against damage caused by impacts during transport to the construction site. It allows use in the field of underground pipes , as indicated by the same UNI 10823 standard: "the coating is obtained through extrusion, without welding, in continuous, externally and internally smooth, with uniform nominal thickness, adhering to the external wall of the copper pipe for its entire surface to guarantee the absence of residual air pockets and prevent them from slipping off”. It is tested online in order to guarantee the electrical insulation resistance which, as required by the UNI 10823 standard, must be equal to or greater than 100 MΩm2, furthermore it satisfies the requirements of the UNI 7129 regarding the omission of the installation of the required dielectric joint for underground sections with a length not exceeding 3 m
